Bye Bye Gutsy Gibbon and Welcome Hardy Heron

For most of you who know what actually i meant with the title of this post, i would like to explain that i have fresh installed Ubuntu Linux "Hardy Heron" 8.04 LTS version on my computer dual boot with Windows XP.

I once loved Windows Vista's Aero Interface but with the introduction of Compiz Fusion through ubuntu i had to give it a try and finally ended up with one of the most stable ubuntu installation releases in many years.


Since Vista has some of the worst problems of Compatibility and Slow Processing for an operating system, I decided to rip vista off my system and install in old reliable Windows XP with Vista Transformation Pack and Windows Blinds Vista Aero Skin for transparent Windows. I also installed Object Dock for Dock support and Rainmeter as sidebar analogous to Vista Sidebar.


That was all about my XP experience, but the real change came when i installed Ubuntu Hardy on my system. Being Linux it had really a lot of benefits of its own. First and Foremost its Free, Secondly it has no microsftish Copyright or Software Counterfeiting issues for downloading updates and third it had a great Open Software Society Support for in case if u fall in problem while working on the New Operating System.
