My Mac 'OsX' + Vista 'Aero' + Linux 'Gnome' Desktop Slideshow:
Powered by Compiz Fusion
This is what i was working on from the past one week. Yep! I decided to tweak my Rugged Linux (orange - brown) look and then put something like a remix of all the themes of the three major OS's that are available.
When i talk about the major OS's i mean the Microsoft's windows Vista (Aero interface), the Mac OSX Leopard Interface and the Gnome Ubuntu Linux Interface. All knitted together under the Linux's Compiz Engine for providing an aesthetically good looking and easy Desktop Environment.
The Desktop once looked quite boring to me even though i had the luxury to afford the Compiz Plugins but still i found something really missing on my desktop. So i started googling on how to tweak my linux Desktop to first Mac and then to Vista.
I landed upon a website that is dedicated for this purpose i.e. www.sourceforge.net/projects/mac4lin

It is a project on source forge that deals with what i really wanted. It was no more less than a treasure found for me since i got every thing from themes, wallpapers, mouse cursors, folder icons and sounds everything that i hoped for in one single website.
So i downloaded everything and then Played with my desktop a little bit, to create my own Mac + Vista + Linux theme that was based upon Compiz and Emerald theme Engine. One of the website that also helped me in doing so was www.art.gnome.org and www.gnome-look.org, which provided me the vista themes (window borders) and Gnome Wallapers.
Though, I must say that in my quest my best friend was the evr so reliable and trustworthy net friend "Google".
So, I lay my thanks to all the developers/coding team/ graphic Designers/Brains of the above websites that work had daya and night to bring such great projects alive for people like us giving us a splendid Desktop Experiance.
Thanks a Lot!!
